It is likely that you heard about how we make a good living by promoting Amazon products. In fact. We average around $10k a month. . It wasn’t always like this. At one point we were adding 8 reviews a day to one of our websites in the hope that it would make us a decent living. We were writing those reviews ourselves, from scratch. The work was tough and the conversions weren’t great, but it brought in the traffic mind.

Suddenly, it occurred to us…

We were going in the wrong direction. Out of the thousands of reviews on our website, around 10 to 20 were actually making money. We had other pages that brought in a few dollars. Those 10 to 20 were making a consistent income. It was not much at the time.

We came to the conclusion that we don’t need to add hundreds of product reviews or build more websites in order to make money online. That was freeing to say the least. It meant that we could stop and relax and just focus on a few pages at a time.

That was not what brought in the big dollars.

When we came to the realization that we weren’t giving our readers what they wanted, that was the end of it for us. Before that point, our reviews were short and didn’t provide much substance. They were not helpful at all. We had always thought about it. Get them to Amazon as quickly as possible, because they don’t care what the review is like as long as they click through and buy something.

We were wrong.

Adding hundreds or poor quality reviews didn’t work. The sales jumped when we started writing quality reviews using a new format. We knew we were on to something.

We realized that we had been choosing the wrong products and it was affecting our sales and income. We randomly picked products from Amazon and didn’t think about how they would convert. We came up with a 5 step process for selecting products after some trial and error.

Things began to fall into place.

With the combination of choosing the right products and using our new method for writing reviews, we suddenly had products that were converting.

It took us a while to get all the pieces together but when we did, everything started falling into place. The money started coming in. We were making thousands of dollars a month.

The right plan was all we needed. There was no stopping us once we had that in place.
