Your higher consciousness can be called the soul and even the consciousness itself. It’s your essence and it’s the source of high positive emotions such as love and joy. You operate at this level when you are peaceful. Your conscious mind is the realm of conscious choices, will, action and analysis. Most of your life and reality are regulated by the Subconscious, even though conscious and deliberate action is required to program the subconscious. You can see that your self- image as well as your imagination have a deeper root than you think. If you first create change at the level of identity and imagination, goals and plans will be more effective. Values and emotions linked to images are what your subconscious needs in order to serve you. When you repeat emotionally loaded images, they become subconscious. You can begin attracting a new reality from there. You need emotional convincing to shift to what you want. The sub-sub-conscious is where suppressed experiences are stored. Some emotional pain can be caused by applying emotional processing to the unconscious. You can assume that your subconscious is programmed once your life is going exactly as you want. You don’t want to meddle with it. Work with your emotions and mental images to create what you want.
The Lighthouse in Search of Light
There was a Lighthouse that was looking for Light. He didn’t notice that what he was looking for was light when he swept over the lands and waters. His beam hit some objects. The Lighthouse said that some of the objects reflected the light. I found it! He didn’t notice that he himself was providing the light. The Lighthouse realized that the light of the physical objects was not permanent and that he had not yet found the ultimate source of Light. He continued his search. He found another Lighthouse one day. He was discovered by the other Lighthouse. He was bathed in the Light of the other tower. He exclaimed that it was it. I have never seen that much light. He fell in love with the other Lighthouse. He became dependent on the other Lighthouse because he didn’t notice that he himself was a source of Light. He missed the warmth and comfort of the other Lighthouse and felt lonely. A wise old man told the Lighthouse that he was what he was looking for. The tool he is searching for is what he is looking for. The eye cannot see itself because it is that which sees. The Lighthouse noticed it had its own light. He learned how to warm others and himself with his light. The intensity of the radiance was changed according to the situation. The Lighthouse was Enlightened. He finally realized what he had been up to.

Experience Ecstasy out of Nothing
In one of my last email-coachings, I asked a student to choose a boring part of town and sit there. His task was to not have a phone, book or object. How long? Until he was happy. The reason he was given this task was because he had lost the ability to feel awesome. The more stuff you have, the more you need to feel. There are a number of ways this exercise could go. In the first hour, you may be relieved to finally cut yourself off from the bombardment of TV, Internet, Coffee, Voices telling you how it is and how it is not. The second hour can bring up suppressed emotions. As you allow these to come up and keep sitting, they will take you to a higher level of energy. You will start to notice things about your surroundings in the third hour, such as how beautiful the trees are. It doesn’t matter if the exercise takes 3 hours or 30 hours. The aim is to feel ecstasy without any help.
If you can feel ecstasy no matter what is happening around you and especially when nothing is happening, you have regained your soul and are free from the constant need for input and events outside of the here-now. You will bring joy into your life instead of feeling sad.
Unlimited Being
Imagine a dot on a piece of paper. Most people have narrowed their attention to a tiny dot when they think of their body or mind. The rest of the paper is in all directions and dimensions. More open awareness goes in the direction of unlimited, Cosmic Consciousness. You can more easily experience new realities if you open this way, so that you are not only involved with the tiny dot but at least the rest of the area surrounding it. Creating new realities would mean creating a tiny dot. It’s easier from a different perspective. It would look messy if you only created over the existing dot.
We should experience some of this unlimited being and not only read about it. Relax as you sit. Relax on the out-breathe. As you read this, notice what you are not aware of. You are aware of the words, but not completely. You can hear the sounds in your surroundings. You are sitting in a chair. You should be aware of your body. You should be aware of your breathing. There are objects near you. You have expanded your awareness a bit, from a tiny dot to something bigger.
You are not aware of that. You cannot observe everything at the same time. You aren’t the cup, table or computer. You are separate from them as the observer. You are not the same as your body and mind. Check for yourself, don’t take my word for it. Are you aware of your body? Are you aware of the stream of thoughts coming and going?
Who is aware? You are identified with the body, obviously, and your awareness likes hanging around in or near the body and mind, but you are not that. Try to point out where I live. If you point to a part of your body, who is doing the pointing? The hand? Are you holding it? Not much. Your brain? Are you talking about the piece of meat called brain? I don’t think so. You don’t have a body or mind. If you are having a hard time with this right now, could you at least acknowledge that your awareness is not limited to the body?
Feel the body. You should pay more attention to the empty space surrounding your body. Outside of the building, look at a tree or object. Awareness is not limited to the body. The only thing you could see is the body.
It’s as simple as that. You might have thought that you were going to get enlightenment.
It is more normal and natural to experience this unlimited being. You just did it. I would recommend you relax into what you already are and gradually deepen this small bit of relaxation you felt, rather than going for spiritual enlightenment. You are Infinite Being, Infinite Awareness, All-that-is. There is nothing to do, nothing to accomplish, nothing to solve. Beingness is just that. The trees are there. Your body and breathing are. It doesn’t require your maintenance. It doesn’t require any extra effort. It doesn’t require your achievement. It doesn’t need to be deserved. Feel that Beingness for a moment that is already perfect.
If you could just sit still and be present for a few minutes a day, you would open a bit and be rejuvenated. Resistance toward what-is is what keeps you focused on that small dot. During sleep is when we are willing to let go of all resistance. We allow ourselves to relax during sleep because we are so large. We regenerate during sleep because of that. If you could do this for a few minutes while waking, you would not need a lot of sleep and you would be more refreshed throughout the day. No effort is required for what-is here and now. Just be and sit for some minutes a day. Be that which is aware. That is easy and natural. When you accept the state of being that has no resistances, no desires, no needs, no urgencies, no obligations, it is much easier to focus on the realities you prefer or do the jobs and activities you prefer.
Becoming Lighter and Lighter
The soul embraces everything and the ego resists it. The positive that is resisted disappears as the negative grows. The positive that is embraced grows. It is easy to understand, but applying it in daily life is a lifelong exercise. You become lighter and less dense as you practice this. The Ego and the Soul are always away from each other. The Ego is always too hot or too cold. When in a Relationship, the Ego wants to return to a Relationship. It is never happy. The soul likes both. It embraces everyone. When you embrace all, you become light and tranquil. Negative energy moves out of your field more quickly if you don’t keep it there with your resistance. You can say Yes to life by taking out the trash. It can be enjoyable to do that. It’s possible to embrace taking out the trash. What happens? You weren’t projecting resentful energy into the Universe while you were taking out the trash. The Universe doesn’t sleep. Everything you say is recorded. Your emotions bring you what you put out. The Universe can’t tell if you’re taking out the trash or making love. Whatever energy you put out, it will respond. Your life is the sum total of all the frequencies you have put out.
