Description
Eric Reinholdt RA NCARB – 30X40’s SketchUp Template
Tired of fiddling with settings to make a model that looks professional? You can move on to doing your best work with these assets settings. They can be used as a foundation for your own presentation style. You will have everything you need to create visually convincing models without having to learn new rendering software or complicated plug-ins.
In addition to the sample files and settings, I will show you the process I use to create the three types of models I use most frequently in my residential architecture practice, the same ones I use to design and present to my clients.
What is included?
- 30X40’s Base Template Settings (.skp)
- 30X40’s Schematic Model File (.skp) – includes three schematic models materials
- Soft Linework style files (.style) – Color Presentation Style Monochromatic Style
- Model Types Schematic Workflow video
- Presentation Model Workflow video
SketchUp files are compatible with newer installations.
Examples of schematic models. skp is included.
I am obsessed with clean, clear graphics and have always been frustrated that SketchUp was so easy to use for model-making ideation but never something I could use to present to my clients. The default styles included with SketchUp were too primitive. The styles I have created balance a crisp graphic convention with a lot of linework, but still have a professionally delineated aesthetic you can use for presentations. The key to achieving the look is embedded in the style files. Simply import the style collection, click a button to apply the selected style, and your existing models will update immediately.
There are options for monochromatic style.
You will see the simple steps I follow to create schematic models, working models and presentation models in the videos. You can use the materials on your design projects.
There is a process. The video is included.
The presentation style is color.
