You can learn the techniques and concepts over 10 hours.
The best instructor on Earth created the most complete system of martial arts. First, to give you the technique and insight to get to a higher level in the sport and second, to reduce the time it takes to get there. After identifying the core skills required for first competition, and ultimate excellence in the sport, the series is built.
Get it immediately. John Danaher is the author of Gi Fundamentals and Escapes. All progress in the sport of judging is made upon the foundation. Foundationalism is the idea that all of the skills of the martial arts are supported by a set of principles. From John Danaher himself.
I am very happy to announce the release of my new instructional video series, GO FURTHER FASTER, in conjunction with BJJ Fanatics.
The basics of BJJ are covered in this series.
The aim of the GO FURTHER FASTER series is twofold: first, to give you the technique and insight to get to a higher level in the sport and second, to reduce the time normally taken to get there.
We all hear a lot of talk of how important fundamental things are. When it’s time to say exactly what a Fundamentals program should be there is almost always only a vague collection of basic moves that most people agree are important and these are practiced in beginner class until it’s time to move on to advanced class and get to the exciting stuff.
We need to go beyond this and offer a clear picture of what makes a sport FUNDAMENTAL if we want to do a better job of teaching.
The idea of foundationalism is important. The idea is that all of the skills of the martial arts are supported by a set of principles.
Without a set of knowledge and skills, it would be difficult to build on them over time.
My contention is that we need to go beyond teaching basic moves in a basic fashion and begin teaching more advanced moves with a level of sophistication that can enable a student to do well in the sport.
What are these foundations? We need to go beyond what we see as a small set of basic moves. The program is built around the basics.
You can’t perform moves well if you don’t have the prerequisite skills.
Technical skills must be taught at a level of sophistication that will speed progress and sustain growth all the way to black belt and beyond.
When a student is given the big picture of the underlying concepts beneath the many moves being taught can he or she put the moves of the sport in a context that enables them to be used effectively on the mat.
In any enterprise, the vast majority of your success is derived from a relatively small percentage of your employees. So too in martial arts. The vast majority of success can be attributed to a small percentage of moves.
Our goal is to first get you displaying competitiveness in a relatively small number of high percentage moves that account for the vast majority of successes, but give them a sophistication that will take you much further than most in less time.
There are four major roadblock to progress among beginner students.
They are unable to perform the moves they seek to learn due to lack of prerequisite skills.
It is difficult to get the moves to work in practice because of the lack of technical nuance.
Students don’t have a sense of how the moves they learn should direct their actions on the mat because of the lack of direction.
A focus on the wrong moves.
The goal of GO FURTHER FASTER is to remove these four obstacles by presenting a movement and concepts based approach to a relatively small set of very high percentage moves. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it There are three modes of pin escapes.
After identifying the core skills required for first competition, and ultimate excellence in the sport, the series is built. Each of the three DOMAINS has five fundaMENTALPOSITIONAL SKILL SETS.

mastery of these fifteen fundamental skill is the goal of a Fundamentals program.

He began Jiujitsu at 27 years old, and with his great determination and love for the art has proved me right as an instructor.

John Danaher was with me from the beginning of my journey to the great unknown world of MMA. We started boxing training. Preparing me for fighting with strikes in the standing position was our biggest task. I needed to work on grapple box, fence wrestling, and clinch fighting. We needed to make up a lot of ground in a short period of time, but at the same time not cause a lot of damage. John coordinated it all from running sparring, drilling, studying tape, strategy, tactics, and finally following me out to Thailand to corner me against my first ever opponent in MMA. He made a big commitment to helping me prepare and I realize how difficult that task is. He helped me go from fighting for my life in early sparring to being confident going into my first fight. I am loyal to this guy. Thanks for everything.
