The Sound Healing and Therapy Certificate Program will give you the knowledge and skills to work in the field as a Sound Therapist or Sound Bath performer. You will learn how to work with people with a wide range of physical, mental and emotional issues. It is designed to teach how to help others.
The full range of how sound affects us is covered in the program. You will learn the science behind sound, and you will learn techniques from ancient times that can’t be explained. You get a full view of the field with 10 instructors. You will learn a lot about how the Body, Nature and Universe work. You will learn how to use your voice for healing and well being. You will understand how the full range of sound healing instruments work. You will learn how technology can be used in sessions. You will learn how to use color, light, geometry, and intention in a session.
There are certificate programs and degree programs. A full associates degree program in sound healing and therapy is offered by us. The first semester of a degree program is called the certificate program.
The curriculum of the certificate program is designed to give students a broad perspective on the industry and allow them to focus on their interests. Additional classes on research, clinical ethics and extensive time practicing on clients are included in the degree program. The degree program trains you to be a master sound therapist, whereas the certificate will get you to the point where you can use a variety of sound healing techniques in sessions.

Even though this is from an online class, it will give you a good example of how the classes work at the Institute. This is the first class of the semester on Resonance with David Gibson. It includes information on the physics of sound and ends with the frequency of God or Source (all frequencies in the Universe). Note that this class is a little more technical. Many of the classes are very experiential. Also David is only one of 12 instructors. Each instructor has their own unique style.

Student outcomes.
Skills The students will be qualified. In the field of sound healing, sound therapists, sound practitioners, sound musicians, or singers. Sound healing sessions can be designed based on an assessment and desired outcomes. A sound healing session is performed on a person based on their issues. A group of people are having a sound healing session. The following learning objectives will be obtained by students.
Objectives for learning.
- Understand how frequencies, tonalities, music and intention work within the body to create health.
- Learn how to raise your own consciousness in order to become a better sound healer, by uncovering and transforming hidden beliefs.
- Understand how sound affects us physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, in order to create more effective treatments for yourself and others.
- Comprehend music theory as a way to understand how the body, nature and the universe works, in order to utilize this knowledge in sound healing treatments.
- Learn how to devise and conduct a healing session on others, with voice and sound healing instruments.
- Acquire the ability to use a wide range of techniques including sound, color and geometry to bring someone into a relaxed state of being.
- Gain a wider understanding of the capabilities of all the Sound Healing instruments.
- Understand the use of the human voice in various healing practices, including a history of singing and self expression as used in ritual by many spiritual traditions and cultures.
- Explore a diverse range of frameworks and modalities of consciousness and sound healing.
- Understand the relationships between all aspects of vibration (including sound, color, light, geometry and the quantum world) — to become more connected to Nature and Source and be able to practice sound healing in alignment with Source.
- Develop the ability to market your sound healing practice successfully.

There are requirements for completion.
You must complete 186 hours to get the certificate. Each of the 5 courses within the Program must be completed with a C average. A final exam is required at the end of the semester, as well as a 2 page research paper. No outstanding fees must be paid if attendance is at 90% or better. Equipment and supplies are not required to be purchased.
The program starts in January, June and September. It takes 3.5 months to complete the January and September starts. The summer intensive version takes 10 days in June and 9 days in August and must be completed within 4.5 months.

The summer intensive has the same program and hours. There are 10 days in June and 9 days in August. June 4th and August 3rd are weekends. The class is 10-9:30 each day with plenty of breaks. You go deeper into the zone. It is a very powerful workshop. The June intensive is part of the full program. The June schedule is detailed. The August schedule is detailed.

There is a fall schedule. September 3rd to December 15th. Tuesday and Wednesday nights are 6:30-9:30 PM. Sometimes a weekend.
The schedule for winter and spring. January 21st to May 1st, 2020 Tuesday and Wednesday nights are 6:30-9:30 PM. Sometimes a weekend.
Between the middle of December and the middle of January, there is a break at the Institute.
Class size Because classes are limited to 25 people, they are small enough to receive personal attention and address specific questions.

Descriptions of the course.
There are five courses in the Sound Healing and Therapy Certificate Program.
The basic structure of sound and how sound can be used for various intentions are given in the Overview course. We look at the history of sound healing. We begin with the physics of sound. We do a thorough examination of the body and it’s relation to the emotional and spiritual bodies, and they work with sound and energy. We explore the use of sound to bring people into various states of consciousness and shift them into particular states.
The classes on Sound Healing Instruments focus on using the Crystal Bowls, Tibetan Bowls, Tuning Forks, and a full range of other instruments for healing and raising consciousness. You learn how different qualities affect us. You are learning how to use each instrument in a sound healing session or event.
Sound can be used as a tool for your own inner work on the Inner Awareness and Transformation course. When working on people or clients, the cleaner the energy that you transmit, the better. The work is about releasing deep patterns. It is about healing yourself. Bringing more love and spirit to your work is also part of it. You learn how to help others heal themselves when you experience these techniques for yourself. There are many workshops that combine sound and movement.
Music is seen as the structure of the nature and the Universe in the Inner Music course. Musical intervals are the relationship between two things in the Universe, whether that be two planets, two plants, two crystals, or two people. You begin to see the harmony in a whole new light. Music can be used to transform relationships.
The course focuses on how to use the voice for healing others and yourself and to create a field of coherent sacred space. We practice chants from all over the world.
The Sound Consciousness and Spirituality course is designed to give you a deeper understanding of how healing occurs, and what higher consciousness is in the first place. Sound, music, color, light, geometries, chemistry, physics, consciousness and spirituality, and how you can add these components to a Sound Healing session are some of the things we look at. The interconnectedness of all human beings to each other, to nature and to the universe is shown by studying the correspondences between all of these areas. Understanding things at a deeper level helps you understand reality better. The more aligned you are with nature and spirit, the more powerful your sound work will be.

SH 100. 63 Hours. There are 4 credits.
The core course covers sound healing and therapy.
Sh 100A. 45 hours.
There is an overview of sound healing and therapy. There are 15 classes. Everything going on in the field of Sound Healing and Sound Therapy is covered in this course. It shows you how sound can be used for meditation, relaxation, learning, productivity, healing and raising consciousness. We look at the ethics of music and sound healing.
The basic concepts of Sound Healing include the Law of Resonance, Entrainment, the Harmonic Structure of Sound, the effect of different Volumes on people, and the powerful effects of Phase Cancellation on us physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Steven Halpern has years of experience gathering information for the class.
Voice Analyses are performed on each of the students and we discuss how Voice Analysis systems work.
tuning systems based on nature are important. We go through all of the healing frequencies that have been used since the beginning of time.
We discuss how the brain can be synchronized with the left and right brain through the use of binaural beats.
We look at all of the techniques for releasing stuck emotions. 50% of disease is caused by stuck emotions and these techniques are extremely important.
We talk about how nature heals and we listen to the secret world that you find when you slow them down electronically. Nature has the most amazing sound healing abilities.
Sound healing marketing is covered by Susanne Runion. The main book in the field is written by Susanne. She shares over 100 practical techniques for attracting and retaining clients with little or no money.

The course will give an introduction to rhythm and its role in healing. You will experience and learn about the basic building blocks of rhythm and sound, and gain an appreciation for their effects on human perception and health. You will learn how to integrate rhythm and sound into your healing work in this course.

The theory of inner music. 5 classes The basics of music theory are covered in this class, with an emphasis on how each aspect affects human beings on all levels. The course uses creative techniques to help students understand the nuances of intervals and musical composition. The underlying meaning of musical intervals is explored in the course.
We will apply emerging knowledge and ideas in Psychoacoustics to actual pieces of music and live healing sessions with a basic understanding of the terminology and mechanics of music.

This class helps to cleanse the physical and energetic bodies using healing tones and movement vibration in order to bring increased light into the physical and energetic bodies, thereby causing healing and transformation.
