Where is the Divine in all this?

It’s a common response when I write about surrender.

That is true if you are talking about the ego. The small self was never able to open the doors of the Divine.

It takes practice week after week to let Offering become your life.

You know about my thirty year writer’s block if you’ve read Outrageous Openness. I had tried everything: workshops, books, and self-flagellation. The well was not wet.

I realized my writing had never been offered to God. If you want me to do this, open the way. The writing is yours.

After that, the prison door flung open. The examiner.com column was a great way for me to be tricked into writing. The rest flowed from there. The waters never stopped.

That is how it works. It is a muscle that takes time to build.

My life was changed by offering.

Anyone can learn to live this way.
