CLIFF RAGSDALE – SPREADSHEET MODELING, DECISION MAKING

The originator of the spreadsheet teaching revolution, Cliff Ragsdale, is highly regarded in the field of management science. The elements and philosophy that made the previous editions so successful have been retained in the revised fifth edition.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

He is a professor in the Department of Business Information Technology in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech. He received his PhD from the University of Georgia. He received his M.B.A. in Finance and B.A. in Psychology from the University of Central Florida. He was supervisor of Benefit Finance & Qualified Plans at the international headquarters of Red Lobster. Areas of research interest for Dr. Ragsdale are microcomputer systems and applications, artificial intelligence, mathematical programming, and applied statistics.

His research has appeared in a number of publications. The Pamplin College of Business Administration at Virginia Tech gave him the award for excellence in teaching. Dr. Ragsdale is a member of both DSI and INFORMS. He has served as vice president for Member Services and vice president of Publications for Southeast DSI. He is the faculty adviser for the student chapter of the American Psychological Association at Virginia Tech.
