PAUL TUDOR JONES – THE TRADER

Jones is shown in the film predicting the 1987 crash using methods similar to market forecaster Robert Prechter. There are few copies of the video that was shown on public television in 1987. The video starts at $295 on the internet. Jones requested in the 1990s that the documentary be removed from circulation. From time to time, the video can be seen on different video sharing and torrent sites, but often it is taken down due to copyright claims.

Jones’ firm manages over $17 billion as of June 1, 2007. Their investment capabilities include global macro trading, fundamental equity investing in the U.S. and Europe, emerging markets, venture capital, commodities, event-driven strategies, and technical trading systems. The creation of FINEX, the financial futures division of the New York Board of Trade, and the development of the U.S. dollar index futures contract were all done by Jones and Hunt Taylor. He was chairman of the New York Cotton Exchange from August 1992 to June 1995.
