The idea of Etherea was in the back of my mind for a long time. I wanted to use a limited number of instruments to create a musical experience that felt so light you could almost float away.

I am very happy with the result and I am glad that I waited for the right time to make this music. The last two years of my life have been challenging and I am the first to admit that I have been creating less music than usual. This is one of the things that makes me different as a composer, and makes Enlightened Audio different as a company. Quality is more important to me than quantity, and I know that the quality of my music is linked to my consciousness at any given time. Sometimes I have to be patient and wait until I have the clarity I need to create music that is worthy of Enlightened Audio, and worthy of you.

Flute singing is a technique used in the music of Etherea. The quality of the voice is brought about by this technique. You will also hear the occasional sound of a breeze. A bowed Tibetan bell is a favourite sound healing instrument that I have used in a number of compositions.

Even the most hardened hearts will be soothed by this music. It brings light and grace to where it is most needed. This music has the potential to change the lives of those who experience it.

There is a main theme that changes over the course of 10 minutes. I have created longer versions of 30 minute and 60 minute that have some additional variations that are not found in the 15 minute version.

COMMENTS ON THE MAGIC DREAM EDITION

This is true drone music, which is to say that it has a consistent sound. It is twinkly and light on one hand and warm and dreamy on the other. The atmosphere is dreamy. If you like drone music, try listening to it at a quiet volume in a dark room with your eyes closed.

The overall sound of this music is consistent, but it is not completely fixed. The instruments sound different over time as I slowly change the balance between them. The changes bring life to the music and help to keep the listener engaged.

The Magic Dream edition is an alternative to the main edition. Both versions have the same sound and chime, and both are very relaxing in their own way. The original edition is more focused on cleansing and illuminatiion but the Magic Dream edition is more focused on inducing a dream state where you can linger between waking and sleep.

COMMENTS ON THE AWAKENING TRACKS

The tracks were designed to help bring your audience back to a state of consciousness after listening to the recordings. When the time comes to bring your audience back down to earth, these awakening tracks will provide you with a much needed change of pace. The addition of percussion and other instruments helps with grounding and re-energizing the mind, even though the twinkling chimes of Etherea are still present in the awakening tracks.

For a seamless musical experience that becomes more lively when you need it, simply fade out the music of Etherea and fade in one of the awakening tracks. During the introductory phase of your spoken word recordings, you could use these awakening tracks.

The original awakening track features a number of inspiring instrumental performances, and as a result it is quite ornate at times. The simpler version is called theesteiron Edition. This edition provides you with the same energy, but without the need to look at me. It’s up to you to decide which one you like the best, and which one may find its way into your own recordings. They might have their place.
