Epistemology is the study of knowledge. Epistemological metaphors are the language of our unconscious and underlie every thought and feeling. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it How do you know when you are sad or happy? All the history and memories associated with that particular state are contained in a metaphor. It could be a deep dark hole or a bright blue sky, it could be a heavy weight or a bright shining light, or it could be a bottomless pit or a happy lake.

You will learn how to develop and unfold a client’s history and memories during the workshop. A wounded child fragment can be found during this process. The wounded child fragments are psycho-active elements that often underlie and cause the clients’ problems. You will learn how to release and heal fragments and memories.

We will be learning how to use clean language. Clean language is language that is free of presuppositions and expectations and focuses directly on the information source.

Even with major abuse and trauma, these techniques are effective. The techniques are respectful of the privacy and integrity of the clients. In effecting lasting change, the interventions are elegant and powerful. The techniques used are sophisticated and are at the cutting edge of information technology.

The workshop will include explanations of the underlying theory of the work we are doing, demonstrations working with participants in the workshop and time for participants to practise using the skills themselves and mastering the techniques.

The aim of the workshop is to provide an effective therapeutic approach to client information which has its roots in childhood trauma. A child looses a sense of ego boundary and becomes very permeable to experience during a moment of trauma, usually before the age of nine. Words take on a physical form and may wound, a look may pierce, and an experience may become trapped in the child. The trapped fragment never moves beyond the trauma because other parts of the child’s experience continue to evolve. The child’s attempts to heal are unsuccessful.

A fragment of a child’s persona in which traumatic learning is stored and which remains frozen just before a traumatic experience is called a child within. There are clues in the rich metaphoric language, symbols and information used by the adult when experiencing physical or psychological pain. The child grows through the moment of trauma and the symptoms of the past into a moment in time just after the worst moment.

The therapist needs a language that will allow entry into the child’s model of the world, because language for working with a wounded child is different from that of an adult client. Clean Language® is a set of questions that encourage metaphors, self-realisations and discoveries into being and is part of this training.

Anyone who works with clients can attend this workshop. Have you experienced trauma or sensitizing childhood experiences? There are no obvious or direct causes for the symptoms and issues discussed. A wounded child may communicate that a different approach is needed.

Norman Vaughton is a change wizard and a hypnotist.

After ten years in education in the UK, Norman Vaughton went to work as an Education Inspector in New Zealand. He studied in the UK, the United States and on the Continent after re-training in Psychology, Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy. He became the senior lecturer with the Academy of Curative Hypnotherapy after teaching with two Training Colleges. He has conducted full training courses in many places. He has taught in Russia, the Ukraine, and the United States of America. He is well known in the Russian speaking world through his seminars.

Norman is a teacher who makes clear complex concepts. His demonstrations are impressive. He wants participants in his workshops to be able to use the skills they have learned in their own practices immediately. The author of Psychobiology of Mind-body Healing: New Concepts of Therapeutic Hypnotherapy was one of the people who developed the work after his death. He passed the torch to Norman Vaughton in 1998 and asked him to continue developing his work. Take all this from me.
