Steve Andreas – PTSD Full Training
The first video is a video. There is a demonstration.
There is a method for getting away from traumatic events in a movie theater.
There is a distinction between recalling and a brief introduction to the training. I invite Shelley to the front of the room if she is inside it or an outside observer. The movie theater method is used to distance from traumatic events. There is a memory. Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories is a method used in this method.
She had been in 8 car accidents in which she was rear-ended. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it I learned in a phone conversation that she has a tendency to have flashbacks. Chronic headaches pain as well. I would like to observe her behavior. I asked her what she would see if she had a past. Think about one of the worst ones. Although that is a precise description of what I want, the way it was worded askedShelley to. Imagine how she looked from my point of view. I was able to observe her response.
I asked her to remember a past time. What if you were? Is it possible to have a retrospective right now? I was able to see her because of the heavy traffic and icy weather. There was a response. She said that her life flashed before her eyes. She would score her feelings as 10 out of a possible 10. An accident was not obvious.
The method is demonstrated with an Iraq vet in the program. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it There is a 3-month follow-up.
Since you worked with me, I have not had a recollection of any car accidents. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it I’m happy! It doesn’t have the impact that it used to have if I think of one of the accidents.
The Phobic Core of PTSD is discussed in the second video.
This is the question and answer portion of the training. There is a demonstration of the process used with the phobic core. The movie theater process is referred to as the Rtm method or V/K dissociation.
Creating Alternative Memories is the second phase of the protocol. This one is followed by the third segment.
Video 3 is about creating alternative memories.
This segment begins with a repetition of the process. The complete demonstration of the process used is included. There is a phobic core to post traumatic stress disorder. Fast forward if you would like to skip this demonstration. The discussion segment takes approximately 6 12 minutes.
The outcome of this process is an alternative to a traumatic memory. A realistic possibility is improved by the client doing something different. Taking protective action, relaxing, saying something different. A different attitude, foreknowledge of possibility, or some other behavioral response. The traumatic event is within the client’s control. It is essential. Not altering external events, or any physical injuries that resulted from those events. That thinking will conflict with reality.
If a truck crashes into your car, you may suffer a broken bone or other injury. It’s important that you don’t try to change those in your alternative memory. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it If your change in behavior results in a change in behavior, it’s fine. In a way that improves the outcome. This process can be used in other ways. contexts to respond to a situation that might happen again in the future It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it There is a 3-month follow-up.
Since you, I have not had any car accidents that I can remember. worked with me. I’m happy! It doesn’t make sense if I think of one of the accidents. It used to have an impact.
Pain Control is a video.
I spoke to her about being a demonstration subject. To be sure of her experience before the seminar. It was appropriate for the process. She mentioned that at that time. The headaches were caused by closed head injuries. I think her 8 car accidents are the same as or similar to. There are either mild or moderate traumatic brain injuries. Her headaches were always there. It definitely qualified as chronic.
The segment was recorded about an hour after using the post traumatic stress disorder. We work to change her pain in a variety of ways. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it There is a 3-month follow-up.
The pain did not get worse that day. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it I am not having headaches every day. I take 3 tylenol extra strength painkillers every day. The second I get up, I usually have a headaches.
I didn’t tell her that while the movie theater and alternative. After doing memory reruns, they are usually effective. In a single session, pain control methods have to be practiced many times. They become more automatic when necessary.
That is an indication that she doesn’t have headaches anymore. It may be possible to reduce them even more with some practice. Eliminate them. I will help her practice doing the methods. Check in with her later.
Eye movement integration is a video.
Eye use is an alternative method for working with post traumatic stress disorder. There are movements that can change a memory. The most well-known. Eye movement desensitization is a researched version of this process. Reprocessing was developed by 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 In this session. I demonstrate and discuss a somewhat different topic. Eye movement integration therapy was developed by Connirae. Steve was with them.
I tried to demonstrate with a participant in the group. It resulted in strong feelings of not liking eye movements. The left half of her field. This has been used in some 20 years. This is the first time this has happened. It happened. After learning that this was the case, after some attempts to proceed. It seemed to be related to unresolved grief over a friend’s death. I stopped the demonstration many years ago. I explained what happened. I wanted to know more about the group that I didn’t want to force her into. Proceeding.
I talked with her many times in the days that followed. Suggestions for things she could try on her own. Further. She described what she had on the fourth day. We have at least some understanding of what was discovered. going on. This section is relevant here. The decision to stop the process was discussed. For a sample. The excerpts from my 1993 EMIT session can be found here. A Vietnam Veteran is demonstrating.
Andrew T. Austin has created a streamlined version of EMIT. Eye movement therapy can be integrated with other. The approaches are therapeutic. Austin demonstrated this method, but I did not. This method is clear in a video.
Eye movement integration is a video. Further discussion.
There is more discussion after the exercise. There is a report on her continued exploration. On the last day of the training, she recorded her experience.
There is a 3-month follow-up.
No change.
A demonstration of The Decision Destroyer.
The morning of the second day begins with a variety of topics. Questions from the previous day. The demonstration starts at 17:30.
We build a life-changing experience in this process. It prepares them for a traumatic event. It is easier to deal with later. This process is very useful. In contrast to a single event, abuse or other difficulties occurred repeatedly over a period of time.
There are four important criteria for this new life-changing experience.
It occurs before a traumatic event. Period. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it Positive or negative content can be chosen by the client. When remembered, it is positive in its results. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it To make it as similar as possible, it has a lot of detail. There are other memories in the client’s life. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it The same submodalities are represented when the memory is complete. It was a positive experience for the client.
When the memory is complete, the client is asked to bring it with them. They travel quickly through time to the present. Changing all relevant events will allow them to travel on into the future with this memory as a part of them. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it There is a 3-month follow-up.
I used to stay awake at night because of the anxiety I felt about financial issues. In the middle of the night, I would get a racing heart. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it I have not experienced mild anxiety since the treatment. I still have mild concerns, but it has been generalized into other areas. I don’t experience the physical part of feeling anxious because of a hold on me. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it A big difference has been noticed by my husband and daughter. I feel like a different person. Many things that used to bother me are no longer.
The Decision Destroyer is a video. There is a discussion.
There is a lot following the demonstration. There are many different elements in this process. They all contribute to maximizing its effectiveness.
Video 9 is about personal boundaries.
We all have a mental boundary that protects us. There were unwanted intrusions from others. Our boundaries are created. We haven’t examined them to find out how well they are. Function. In the contexts in which we experiment with alternatives. Protection is needed, and we can find improvements. There are changes in our experience in the real world.
Someone has spent a lot of time in a dangerous situation. A lightning fast boundary is usually developed by war. It is appropriate to respond to any threat. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it The hair-trigger boundary is no longer in place when they return to civilian life. Frequent episodes of rage and violence may result from this. They are all out of proportion.
The handout shows how to change internal boundaries. There is something inside the body. We weren’t able to demonstrate this in the training. More discussion can be found in the book, but the instructions are clear. Chapter 13 is called Transforming Yourself. This method is also demonstrated. The Iraq vet is in the program.
Follow-up:
After the demonstration, Ronit reported a change in her. She had difficulties with someone. She reported three months later. The boundaries process gave me an inner anchor that I carry with me.
Resolving grief is a video.
Don was part of a protest march. The Klan started shooting in North Carolina in 1979. Some people are protesting. Several of Don’s friends were killed. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it The movie theater process was used on the incident. He hadn’t resolved the grief over the loss of his friends. I took him through the grief resolution process.
Don was still haunted by the image of this success. Sandy had a hole in her forehead, savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay savesay There is a pool of blood. We used the movie theater process again. There is an image. This example shows how experience can be a mixture. teasing them apart so that they are different. The appropriate process can be used to resolve each. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it The Resolving Grief method is demonstrated by an Iraq vet. Releasing PTSD: The Client sessions is a program.
There is a 3-month follow-up.
When I think of Sandy, I see her life-size and animated. My wife and I are talking in her kitchen. There is. There was no sadness in that picture.
I dealt with that incident by walling. I didn’t have to think about it. I can now. Don’t experience the terrible sadness of recalling it and talking about it. The other four who were killed that day were around Sandy. I was closer to a few of them than I was to Sandy. Steve told me to take that. Make it dim and black-and-white and move it far away. It should be stuck there with Velcro. I can still see it if it has stayed there. If I do it it doesn’t bother me.
Resolving anxiety is a video. Feelings are spinning.
Richard Bandler discovered this method. It’s useful for anxiety or any other strong feeling. As part of reaching a wide variety of change, it is useful. Work outcomes are achieved. It is one of the most reliable processes. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it The method is demonstrated with anger and rage with an Iraq vet. Releasing PTSD: The Client sessions is a program.
3-month follow-up with Jane.
The changes we made to release anxiety are still in. The place is working well. That feeling could come up. I keep seeing the blue spiral and it calms me down immediately.
I used the same method after the demonstration with Jane. A career army veteran had not slept well. He would stay awake for 3 or 4 days. He would fall into a fitful sleep when he got exhausted. Sometimes I wake up in a sweat imagining someone. There was a foot of his bed. He would be awake for longer. Take an insomnia medication. He wouldn’t go into a deep sleep. The wife said that he would scream all night.
We recorded him because he didn’t want to be on video. He recorded his report the next day. He said that he used the method twice and slept well. After going to the bathroom at 3:20, you have to go to sleep for the rest of the night.
A follow-up with the vet.
After the training, deep sleep lasted for about two weeks. His mother was with him when he was faced with two emergencies. A son-in-law was hospitalized with a heart problem. There is a brain tumor. He says his brain is going a long way.
There are lots of issues coming together and it’s an hour. It’s hard to get deep sleep. I use drugs and self-medicating when I get tired.
I call it overwhelm and it’s typical of many people. Difficult to sleep. I have a post on how to deal with overwhelm. There are methods for this. The slowing tempo method is used for anxiety. I think that will take care of it. I will be following it up. He wants to know what we can do to get him to sleep again.
Transforming a Troublesome Internal Voice is a video.
There are internal critical voices. Triggers for all sorts of problems. From low self-esteem to depression and addictions. They are a main feature of Schizophrenia. Most. People try not to listen to a voice. Shut up the monkey mind. It is seldom useful and rarely lasting.
If you listen to the voice carefully. You can learn more about it. It will become a supportive ally. The process. This is a way to accomplish it. This is it. This method is also demonstrated by an Iraq vet. Releasing PTSD: The Client sessions is a program.
There is a 3-month follow-up.
There has been a big change in what used to be. There is an inner critical voice. I feel better about myself. They are self-loving. I have noticed that my body is different. For the first time in a long time, the image has changed. I have no fear about my body. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it I feel like a different person. Many things that used to bother me are no longer.
Resolving anxiety temp shift is a video.
Clarifying Relationships: Aligning Perceptual Positions is a video.
Aligning perceptual positions is a process. We are sorting out our experience.
We can have three fundamental viewpoints. Don’t interact with someone else. We can be. We can look out of our own eyes. If viewing both, take an objective Observer position. We are both from an outside point of view. We can take the position of the other person. Are related to. There are different ways in which each position is valuable.
We are aware of our own needs in Self position. Observer position allows us to learn how we do. We can become in Other position if we appear from the outside. More aware of what someone else is going through. If we do. We can shift positions quickly. We have a balanced response to each one. At the moment, whatever is going on.
Each of us can take all three different. We might be unbalanced in how much time we use each position. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it We may become arrogant if we spend too much time in Self position. And offensive. If we spend a lot of time in Observer position. It is possible to lose touch with feelings and become robotic. If we spend as well.
We may become involved with the other. Sometimes we lose touch with our own feelings and needs. They have been called co-dependency or enmeshed with someone else.
Even worse, we may become mixed up. Being judgmental in observer, including others feelings in self position. A self voice can be heard in a different position. Our experience is when. It becomes very difficult to resolve even a little bit in this way. There are disagreements and conflicts.
A process for sorting out our experience is Aligning Perceptual Positions. It is necessary to clarify who and what relationships are.
There is a 3-month follow-up.
I am more likely to step back after the procedure. My interactions with other people. I’m less likely to get it. I engage in my own stuff when interacting with others. I described the number in the session. Along with the lack of distortion. I’m more likely to imagine people looking at each other. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it My brother’s image is no longer what it used to be. I am more likely to remember that he is just who he is. Thanks. For a great experience.
There is an icon. Aligning perceptual positions.
Forgiveness: Resolving Anger is a video.
The process for resolving anger is the same. For dealing with grief. The image of what is provoking. Anger is moved into a place. The person will have a full-body experience. Of forgiveness. Most people have many. There are strong objections to doing this. To satisfy these objections is the task.
Anger protects from a repetition. There was harm done. The need for is always involved in objections. If they were to give up their anger, there would be some kind of protection. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it There are always variations on consequences. If I forgive him, he could hurt me again. If I forgive her, that would mean that I am. I condone what she did.
It can be hard to satisfy these objections. Sometimes it is impossible, but it has to be done. Someone is going to reach forgiveness. A detailed article is required. How to satisfy objections is included in the process. There is a free article on forgiveness.
Resolving Shame is a discussion in video 16.
There was a woman scheduled who had shame. The subject of childhood sexual abuse is a demonstration. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it We talked on the phone. We would be working in front of the building. We would be videotaped. However, it is possible. She realized that she hadn’t anticipated. How would being observed like this affect you? It was a shame that we would be working with. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it Someone told me how appalled she was. She entered the room at the back. It was before I came up to the front to work with me.
I worked with her for 23 minutes. Realizing that the public context, her second request to stop. It was impossible to continue. I have shown the shame. In this case, it is possible to process publicly before difficulty. Her feelings were too intense. She didn’t sign a release. I can’t include this part of the video record. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it There is a video on the internet. There is a free article on my website. There is a transcript of a session. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it You can also watch the video from which this transcript was made.
I talked to the group after this.
Resolving Guilt is a video 17
Guilt is when you violate your own values in a way that harms someone else. Re regret is when you violate your own values in a way that harms yourself.
When you make a mistake, it is important to notice it so that you can correct it. Many people get stuck in the bad feelings, instead of learning from them, so that they can do better next time.
Resolving guilt is also called self-forgiveness. When everyone makes the best choice available to them, they can build a foundation of balance and acceptance to commit to taking corrective action in the future.
Rick Gray’s program for working with drug and alcohol abuse was mentioned during this session. Email support@nextskillup.com to get a free copy of the program.
Video 18 is about balancing regret.
There is a choice when you choose between alternatives. It is an opportunity to regret the choice not made. It is impossible to live without regret. No matter how. You can always imagine satisfying a choice. A different choice might have been even better. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it Some people torment themselves with regret. The results of their choices are usually comfortable.
It can be about something you did, or about something else. Something that you did not do. I regret what you did. It’s usually very specific because the consequences are known. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it It is more likely that you regret what you did not do. The consequences are more uncertain and speculative.
You have to give up another option whenever you choose one. Every regret is about what you did and didn’t do. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it The other is always in the background even when we focus on one. It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it Balance is brought about by the consequences of what you did and didn’t do.
There is a 3-month follow up.
The decision process was good, but I had other issues. I had to solve before I could follow through. Thanks for everything. I enjoyed the seminar.
