I’m called Eben Pagan.

Most people think of a poor background when they think of me.

I was born in the state of Oregon. It was a way out in the woods. When I was in my mid-twenties, I made more than 10 dollars an hour. For the early part of my life, I only did manual labor work to earn my income.

I did not have successful mentors who were rich. I did not know anyone who was rich or wealthy.

I started out without knowing anything about wealth.

I decided to look into other opportunities when I realized that what I had done before wasn’t earning me the income and financial success that I wanted.

I got into business.

And…

Most of the entrepreneurial businesses I tried didn’t turn into any kind of success. Each time I learned a valuable lesson, I could combine it with other lessons to create more success in my next venture.

Until the businesses I started really took off, my businesses became more successful.

I launched several million dollar businesses from scratch. All of them still run. All of them are growing.

To let you know that I have worked hard to figure this out, I am telling you not to show off.

I did not come from a background where I was taught all the steps to succeed. I was not born with a spoon in my mouth. I didn’t have a billionaire mentor who helped me through my problems.

I had to work on it myself.

1. We are not wired. To become wealthy. Neuroscience shows that we come hardwired with certain ways of interacting with the world and certain ways of learning and responding to situations.

Unfortunately.

We are designed to live in a place that doesn’t exist anymore.

Not for thousands of years.

Human evolution is very slow, but CULTURAL evolution and business evolution are very fast.

The evolution of our biological hardware is slower than that of all that.

Our hardware is not designed to operate in a modern society.

It is not designed to deal with money, interest rates, and long term time frames.

We hunted for game to survive for the day or at most the week, we ate to store fat in our systems in case there was no more food.

Most of us have trouble accumulating wealth because of bad wiring.

2. We are not programmed. To become wealthy. We don’t have good programming when it comes to wealth. We were raised in families that weren’t wealthy. We grew up with families that didn’t think wealthy people were good people.

They didn’t like money. They were upset with their bosses.

As a result, we have a lot of self talk in our minds that people who have a lot of money are bad and if money comes up in conversation, there will be conflicts.

It’s bad programming that prevents us from attracting wealth.

3. There are habits that prevent. From becoming wealthy. Each of us has our own habits that we do each day. There are routines. We do things on autopilot. Most of the things we do today are the same as yesterday.

Not just what we do, but also what we think and how we act. They are all present.

99% of the things we thought, felt or did today are the same as yesterday and the day before that.

The problem is that most of us have developed habits that don’t allow us to build wealth.

We are moving ourselves away from the wealth we want on a day to day basis because of this.

What is the evidence for this? Take a look around you. Do you know how many people created their own wealth? There is a chance that it is not the majority.

People who inherit a lot of money or win the lottery.

Most of the time, people who have windfalls end up losing it all within a couple of years and end up penniless.

How could this happen? Someone with millions of dollars can lose it all within a few years and end up worse later on in their lives.

We aren’t wired, programmed, or have the habits to build and keep wealth from the start. It needs to be learned.

This doesn’t just apply to us regular folk…

Someone is going to get more money than others if you randomly throw a bunch of people in a room and then throw money into it. It is the way things like this work.
