It is a big niche.
The New York Times has more than one website. There are 910,000 active subscribers. . Advertising sales make less than their subscription revenue.
The Sun Newspaper in the UK only allows access to their site for paying subscribers.
You can find great ideas that have received a lot of money but haven’t even launched if you monitor funding rounds frequently.
Just having the idea is not enough.
Step #2: Choose an angle which makes marketing dead simple
I am sure you will find at least one project that sounds interesting if you scroll through for a while.
More than 100 companies received crazy amounts of money in the last month.
That is only one source.
We aren’t here to steal other people’s ideas.
I am trying to be a morally ethical person.
It is actually because. An angle. The people want to take their venture in a different direction. An angle. I would accept it.
I don’t want to become a payment processor, so I wouldn’t follow the cointent model.
It’s going to take a lot of work to have people trust you with payments. I guess that was the reason for the $1m.
I like the idea of microtransactions.
Instead of handling my own payments, I would integrate with current leaders like Paypal, and also include the option of adding your own merchant account.
There are people who offer this kind of solution already.
You have to go further.
In my experience…
The easiest way to angle a product or service idea in a profitable way is to look at what you want out of it.
They say to scratch your own itch.
When you think that way. It’s automatically done. It’s a niche down. It’s best to find and connect with your target audience if they are just like you. It’s dead simple. .
Venture Beat predicts that Cointent will do something in the future.
That’s right. Should they choose to jump into the space, there will be a lot of competition. This kind of utility seems like a good fit for PayPal. It could allow CoinTent to move into a niche market. ”
If you really want to build a site for people who think the world is going to end, then focus on the angle you think the world is going to end.
The guy or girl who talks about a possible catastrophe should OWN that angle.
You might be interested in nutrition, but what really interests you is developments in nootropics and enhancement pills. Become the go-to-resource if that is the case.
Everyone thinks taking a small slice of a huge pie is the best model online, but my experience tells me to take a huge slice of a much smaller one. .

My Own $350,000 “Overnight Success”
(And how I totally messed up when trying to duplicate that)
I launched two software products in the last few years.
They cost $6,000 to develop.
Both targeted the same people.
I marketed both to the same audience.
Both allow you to easily change an element of your website.
One of them stayed on the top of Clickbank’s web design category for 3 years and generated more than $350,000 in revenue while the other barely made back the cost of development. .
It’s crazy, right?
It’s not so much when you understand the power. An angle. You take.
I got it all wrong for the second product.
I was using the opt-in form. A problem is solved. There was no other way to add opt-in forms to your website back then.
I was simply giving people something to read. The solution is more attractive. They could already do that.
The sales showed that I got the angle wrong.
There is something that is crazy. If I launched that product today, it would fall on its face. .
The reason may surprise you.
It isn’t because people don’t want to collect email addresses. To share the previous free niche ideas, I focused on collecting yours.
I could have given those 20,000 words to anyone, but I chose the people on the email list.
It is still possible to build an email list. It’s hugely. It’s important for online businesses to actually make money.
Yet, the way we collect email addresses has changed dramatically
I let people put opt-in boxes in their sidebars when I launched OptinSkin.
These are the places where you will find opt-in forms.
Pop-ups can be used to collect emails.
The bars on the top of the site collect emails.
When you scroll to the bottom of an article, there are opt-in forms that slide out from the right of the page.
A number of big blogs use a service from BounceExchange. It starts at $5,995 per month. ! They have a feature that asks if you want to receive a gift and then presents two huge buttons saying Yes or No. An opt-in form appears when you click Yes.
I don’t know what angle I would take with cointent.
I would focus on people who are running email list campaigns in order to keep the focus on micro transactions. They would have to pay $7 for every email you send them.
I would push the idea that instead of just providing a ton of value via emails and launching a big product, keep offering smaller products and grow your buyers list with this awesome new tool I have just made.

One idea.
One angle.

That is not enough.
Step #3: You need to learn how to tell stories
Let me tell you a story.

Science shows that stories are powerful. Since the first cave paintings were discovered, we have been using them. Communication is a primary form. .
The service which allows you to time your social media updates was announced this week by Buffer.com. They have reached half a million dollars in monthly revenue. .
What is interesting about their sales process?
They did not focus on product benefits.
They did not focus on service bullet-points.
Instead, says the co-founder. He told stories. .
I tell the story of Michael Dell, who flew from New York to Los Angeles and showed his laptop still had power when he landed, when I sell my link building service.
The message was that people can figure out difficult challenges if they know how to use the internet.
When I sold language learning products, I told stories of people who could now spy on their victims because they had learned a new language.
Potential customers were excited by the idea of people not knowing you had a new ability.
If you don’t use stories in selling, then change that now.
Step #4: You need to implement a highly-optimized funnel
Do you want to know what happened to the funnel I built?
I spent thousands of dollars on it and had to scrap it two weeks later.
I sell on how to build a marketing agency and get clients, which is where a large portion of our revenue comes from.
I paid for it. $4,000. Everyone says the animated explainer videos convert well. It did convert, and it looked great.
Only to get people to watch the first video.
More than 5,000 people watched the first video.
Only 2,000 people made it through the last video, video 7.
There was a drop in the number of people watching the video.
Less than a dozen people bought the 2 hour long edutainment series on building an online marketing agency even though we had 2,000 people to watch it.
Why would that happen?
There was no urgent need.
They assumed our sales page would be around forever or the product would remain at its current price because they realized they could watch the videos for free.
People had doubts that they could implement what I was saying.
You may think it’s because of the copy of the videos, but they had the same content as a webinars I had run which converted a huge number of people.
I was able to assure people that beginners could do this. I couldn’t do that with people watching.
webinars sell it better than anything else I can do.
To get the maximum conversion rate out of your website visitors, you need to figure out which idea will sell your product and which funnel will work best.
I wasted a lot of time and money.
Having learned another way that doesn’t work puts me on the path to something that does.
Step #5: You must stick with it to attain “overnight success”
The dream of overnight success is not a reality.
I mentioned in the headline that I wanted to build profitable sites in four weeks.
We give ourselves a certain amount of time to see if the project has potential.
We will leave the site if we are struggling, not enjoying the process, or things aren’t as they should be.
We will stick to it if we see potential in those four weeks.
If I really believed in this process, I would give up when I hit the first hurdle.
If someone rejects me for an interview or doesn’t want to use my microtransactions software, I’ll just move on to the next person.
Don’t just take my word for it. I will give you a personal example of this step in action.
