Dear authors and self-publishers.

All of your titles will be moving to Kindle Direct Publishing if you haven’t already heard about it.

What does that mean for you?

You will get paid less and your royalties might go down.

You will need new cover in many cases.

As this combined platform is tested with your titles on the line, there is no telling what other issues are going to crop up.

Writing is one of the hardest things to do. Most days, you feel as if the paycheck doesn’t reflect your dedication and efforts, but it’s also extremely rewarding.

I will show you how you can change that by doing one simple thing.

Your sales numbers on Amazon are low, but you are writing and publishing great books.

You are using KDP Select Free days to promote, but the results have been mixed at best.

You are not sure if it was worth it to change your book.

It feels like wasted effort when you are active on social media.

You are working your tail off, but the results are discouraging, and you are starting to question whether or not you are good enough, smart enough, or talented enough to make this publishing thing work.

You are good enough, smart and talented.

The problem isn’t you, it’s AMAZON.

AMAZON is both your best and worst enemy.

AMAZON is the most used platform when it comes to books being bought and sold.

You should too, but I publish there.

If you only look to Amazon, you will leave a lot of money on the table.

Take a moment to think about the drawbacks of publishing on Amazon.

Amazon has low price points that make them less profitable. In profit per sale, eBooks typically sell from $2 to $3.50. With one simple thing. You could be earning more than $9 per sale.

The number of pages on Amazon. More pages mean more work and slower publication speed. Without upsetting buyers, you could sell 20 page books for $9, $17, $27 or more.

Amazon does not give sellers any customer information. It is your book that earned those sales, so you should be able to follow it. Up with your customers.

Amazon has low payouts for its affiliates. This makes it difficult to promote your book, which robs you of hundreds or thousands of dollars. Dollars in sales.

Amazon does not allow add ons, upsells, downsells, or OTOs. Customers love extras, and they increase your profits, so again, Amazon is stealing money from you.

Amazon calls all the shots. Rules get changed, but authors are often ignored. We aren’t customers at Amazon’s Customer Service Department.

Payouts take 30 days, and often there are service fees involved. We all know that AMAZON takes the customer’s money right away. Why charge? Is there more we can do to get the money we earned?

What is the answer?

If you start thinking of yourself as a product creator, you will be able to make more money.

If you take a look at the rewards you will get from expanding your horizon beyond Amazon.

You can set higher price points for your work. Outside of Amazon, you can charge $7-$27. There are books.

Quality is more than page count. You will earn more profits if you have fewer pages.

You can get customer information from other platforms. You can increase your profits with additional offers.

The rules are clear so you know how much you want to pay. It is easy to recruit other sellers to help you earn more.

You can offer add ons, upsells, and downsells. Customers love extras, and these will increase your profits dramatically.

They are easy to contact and invest in you. Amazon sells a lot more than what you offer. You.

Fees are low and payouts are permanent. You will never give the other places anything if you wait 30 days for your money. It’s close to 30% on each sale.
