In 1992 he received his AAS Degree in Surveying from Tyler Junior College and in 2000 he obtained a license as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor. He has 28 years of experience in surveying with 26 of those at Stanger, performing boundary, topographic, route and oil and gas surveying.

At the first TSPS spring Symposium, he co-presented both the TSPS brand Professional Ethics and Land Surveying – A Learned Profession courses. He is an active member of the organization, having served as President of the organization in 2014, as well as Chairman of the Chapter Activities Committee, and as Chapter 4 President and current Chapter 4 Secretary-Treasurer. In 2004, he was the Chapter President of the Year and in 2010, he was the Young Surveyor of the Year.

In addition to obtaining his BAAS Degree from The University of Texas at Tyler in 2002,Connor achieved licensure as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Texas in 2012 and as a Professional Land Surveyor in New Mexico and Colorado in 2016 In Texas and New Mexico, he has experience in boundary, ALTA, topographic, route, construction, and oil/gas projects.

Currently serving as Vice President of Chapter 4, Chapter Representative for Chapter 23, and as a State Director of the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors, Connor is a third-generation land surveyor. The current Chair of the TSPS Chapter Activities Committee is a member of the Public Relations Committee and the Education Committee. He was the first East Texas Regional Coordinator for the Texas Young Surveyors. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Surveying Education Foundation of Texas. The Young Surveyor of the Year was awarded to Connor.
