Since 2003 Nalini S. Mahadevan has practiced Immigration, Estate Planning, Special Needs and Elder Law. Her clientele includes both corporations and individuals. She is the General Counsel for the City of Frontenac. Nalini moved to the United States after working as a corporate lawyer in India. She has degrees from the University of Mumbai, India, Washington University in St. Louis, and a law degree from Saint Louis University. She is a member of the Missouri Bar, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Nalini volunteers her time as an advisor to several local non-profits, including The Hindu Temple of St Louis, and the South Asian Women Empowerment Regional Association St Louis. She taught Immigration Law and Law Practice Management at the Saint Louis University School of Law. She was a founding member of the South Asian Bar Association of Metropolitan St Louis. She is a well-respected attorney with a great sense of humor, which makes her a frequent speaker for the Missouri Bar. Nalini is no stranger to the world of social media and uses it to her advantage. Her book, How to Start a Law Practice and Succeed, a primer for new lawyers and those transitioning from a large law firm is based on her personal experience. There is a book on Amazon.
