In cooperation with other law firms, Dr. DeShaw has obtained settlements and verdicts for his clients in excess of $1 billion. He is the leading author on the subject of Colossus, the computer assessment program used by most auto insurance companies for evaluating personal injury claims. There are multiple professional education videos on the topics of traumatic injuries and insurance that DeShaw is featured in.

He holds a Juris Doctorate and a Doctor ofChiropractic. He practiced medicine in five countries and was a doctor at the exclusive Hale Clinic in London England. He lectures to doctors and lawyers.

His peers have elected him to the Super Lawyers in the past. He works at his own firm in Oregon, but also with the nationally prominent firm of Friedman | Rubin in Seattle, Washington.

Most of his personal injury cases involve traumatic brain injuries, with the rest being catastrophic injuries such as quadriplegia, spinal cord injuries, amputation, and wrongful death cases. He does jury trials on medical injury cases. His cross-examination of a witness uncovered that the doctor did not have an M.D. degree. Other defense doctors don’t show up to testify.

Legal Consultant


Sinclair helps lawyers maximize settlement value for their injured clients. She realized the ineffectiveness of the traditional, narrative-style demand letter while working as a paralegal for mass volume law firms. She was taught by a subject expert that there is an art to advocacy, but a science to settlement. As she continued to learn more about the insurance industry evaluation process, she had the chance to learn from former insurance claim process experts who provided great insight, and she embarked on a mission to change the way law firms prepare and present their cases to insurance companies.

A series of demand letter templates that are formatted to be triggered by the bodily injury software systems, and traditional evaluation methods that insurers use to evaluate bodily injury claims have been refined over a series of years. She led a team of doctors, nurses and paralegals who helped law firms get rid of demand package preparation. She is often called in to consult with firms who are getting low ball offers for their cases in order to turn around their claim values.

As a visual media consultant for High Impact, she gained experience working with a variety of lawyers, as well as interacting with their team of medical illustrators, animators and medical specialists. She obtained niche skills in advanced visual claim presentation methods that allow her to better serve lawyers during the demand submission process, and during trial. Through a series of products she intends to produce for Trial Guides, she will share her knowledge and methods with attorneys and physicians who are interested in better serving injured people. She is currently working as a legal consultant on a part time basis, and is no longer involved in the legal industry.

She enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, driving sports cars, fishing, and playing with her pitbull.
