Alan Godwin is a PsyD. A licensed psychologist with over 30 years of experience. He has dedicated himself to helping individuals, couples, churches, and businesses develop better ways of handling conflict. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Godwin serves on the faculty of the Graduate Counseling Department of Trevecca University in Nashville, where he teaches a class called Psychodynamic Psychotherapies. He has lectured in the Marriage and Family department.

He has written a quarterly feature called Ask Dr. Alan. There is a person named Deacon. The Drama Review: In Relationships and Culture has been a guest on numerous radio and television programs across the U.S. and Canada. Dr. Godwin wrote a book. Dealing with Difficult Relationships is how to solve your people problems. Explains how to make conflict go well with two types of people: reasonable and unreasonable.
