Dr. Alane O’Connor is on the medical staff at MaineGeneral Medical Center. She works on addiction medicine and the use of buprenorphine. Over the past ten years, she has developed an integrated medical and behavioral health treatment program that has served hundreds of opiate dependent pregnant women. The Journal of Maternal-Fetal and Neonatal Medicine is one of the journals that Dr. O’Connor has published her research on. She works to expand access to medication assisted treatment in the primary care setting by mentoring other clinicians and practices. She is the director of the addiction medicine education at the residency. She is a peer reviewer for many journals.

Dr. Merideth has been in Maine for 15 years. Substance use disorder, obesity, and pain management are included in her practice scope. She has worked in emergency departments all over Maine. Dr. Norris has a private practice and is the Medical Director of Enso Recovery. The American Board of Obesity Medicine, the American Board of Addiction Medicine, and the American Board of Family Medicine have certified Dr. Norris as a board certified doctor.

She drafts large amounts of testimony to the state legislation on opiate policy and treatment access and is frequently seen in the press advocating for available resources for people with substance use disorder. She has appeared on local public radio and the national Reelz network as an addiction expert. The medical consultant for Susan Elia Mac Neal, author of theMaggie Hope detective series, became certified as a Ringside Physician by USA Boxing. The doctor has three children.

He is trained in Environmental Medicine, Nutritional Medicine and Medical Hypnotherapy. He is the Medical Director of the healthcare resource centers in Portland and Lewiston.
