There is a correlation between excessive anxiety in childhood and later depression and other conditions. The presentation will show how cognitive processes and strategies can help create a cycle of anxiety and depression in anxious children and families. There will be attention given to the development of specific, empirically supported strategies which can help shift the anxious individual and family towards malleability.
