You will learn how to use the principles of Imago Relationship Therapy to connect with the issues the couple brings to you and transform the emotional temperature of the session. You will gain skills using tools such as mirror and validation, with a special emphasis on all the subtle shifts you can make with body language, sentence stems and voice tone to create safety and new possibility in troubled relationships. We will discuss the insights from Interpersonal neurobiology as they relate to couples therapy.
