In order to assist clients in accessing and utilizing their internal resources in the service of change, hypnosis can be used. To provide clients with fingertip resources that can be accessed quickly and easily, one approach to hypnotism is to create single recordings of three to eight minutes in length. Much like a song on the radio or track played on a phone, brief hypnotic experiences are invitations to clients for rapid absorption, which can facilitate shifts in emotion, cognitive, and physiology. Well-constructed singles give opportunities to evoke and utilize client capabilities and create new states and frames.

The purpose of this session is to learn how to structure brief hypnotic experiences, record such experiences, address common and potential audio issues, and manage consent and release of therapeutic material. At the end of the session, participants will have knowledge of how to create short, focused recordings that serve as a resource to clients at virtually any place or time.
