Ben was diagnosed with a rare form of mouth cancer in 1988 and was unable to play on the PGA tour. At the age of three, Ben was introduced to the game by his father and grandfather, who introduced him to the game that would eventually win him numerous accolades, place him in top magazines and save his life.

Ben was diagnosed with a rare form of mouth cancer just as he was about to break in big. Ben was at the lowest point of his life after a battle with cancer in which he lost his jaw and more than 40 pounds. His day consisted of using his morphine to deal with the pain. Ben’s mother placed a sand wedge and a golf ball on his hospital bed and said, You need to figure out your life. Ben began to track how many times he could get the ball off of the wedge. He got good nurses and oncologists and they would line up outside of his door to see the trick of the day. The initial rained-out tournament where Ben showcased his trick shots to entertain the crowd turned into additional invitations and offers that spanned more than 20 years of tournaments, coaching opportunities and contests. Ben became known as one of the world’s greatest trick shot ball strikers after hitting a 409 yard recorded drive.

Since the low of his life in that hospital bed more than 20 years ago, Ben has diverted his mission into mastering the basics and skills necessary to create extraordinary trick shots and is known the world over for his amazing drives.
