Dr. Norman specializes in the mental health and well-being of medical students and applies her passion for clinical psychology. She delivers cognitive behavioral therapy and other evidence-based treatments to adult clients with a wide range of emotional and adjustment problems, such as anxiety, stress, depression, and relationship issues. She gives workshops to students on topics related to suicide prevention, depression, anxiety, and physician burn-out. As clients begin to improve their quality of life and attain a sense of fulfillment, she is eager to apply her experience and compassion with them.

She earned her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology. She completed her internship at the Robert J. Murney Clinic in Springfield, Missouri. She was involved in a study sponsored by the National Institute of Mental Health which focused on treatment for Recovery After Initial Schizophrenia Episode. She provided counseling for underserved populations in a rural setting when she was a private practice doctor. The team leader for the Dialectical Behavior Therapy program was Dr. Norman. She has experience working with people who are suicidal.

The National Conference on Medical Student Mental Health and Well-being was where Dr. Norman invested in workshops on the prevention of medical student suicide and burn-out. Dr. Norman enjoys working with medical students. She considers it a privilege to provide counseling to KCU students as they grow into their talents.
