Mr. Murphy has been employed by ISMIE since 2000 and currently serves as the national risk management & patient safety advisor. He serves as a liaison to the ISMIE sales and marketing team and consults on risk management issues with physicians, their employee staffs, practice managers, lawyers and brokers. Mr. Murphy is a certified speaker for the Institute for healthcare communication. The American Society for Health Care Risk Management certified him as a professional in healthcare risk management. Mr. Murphy works for the Westmont Fire Department as a lieutenant paramedic and firefighter. He is a member of the American Society for Health Care Risk Management, the Chicagoland healthcare risk management society, and the Illinois society of healthcare risk management.
