The Peaks Island grade school had 40 students and was one of the smallest in Maine. He has worked on public health projects in South Sudan and Uganda. The Maine-African-Partnership for Social Justice is a non-profit he co-founded with his wife and son-in-law. Traditional birth attendant training is one of the educational projects.
