Don Meichenbaum


15 years ago, Don Meichenbaum retired from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada to become the Research Director of the Melissa Institute for Violence Prevention and Treatment of Victims of Violence in Miami. www.melissainstitute.org.com has had over 2 million hits. He is a founding member of Cognitive Behavior Therapy. According to the American Psychologist, he was one of the 10 most influential therapists of the 20th century. He received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the clinical division of the American Psychological Association.

He has presented in all 50 U.S. states. A guide for military trauma victims and their families has been published by him. Treatment of Individuals with Anger Control Problems and Aggressive Behavior is one of his books.

He has consulted for a variety of populations, including veterans hospitals, the National Guard, psychiatric treatment centers for children, adolescents and adults, and treatment centers for individuals with traumatic brain injuries. Janina Fisher, Ph.D


Janina Fisher is a doctor. The Trauma Center was founded by Bessel van der Kolk, MD. The past president of the New England Society for the Treatment of Trauma and Dissociation, Dr. Fisher is a faculty member of the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute.
