Stephen Gilligan is a doctor. He is a psychologist in California. He was one of the original students at UC Santa Cruz. He was one of the premier teachers and practitioners of Ericksonian Hypnotherapy after he received his psychology doctorate. His original approaches of Self-Relations and Generative Self were combined with Robert Dilts into Generative Coaching. The Generative Change Work includes the applications of Generative Coaching, Generative Psychotherapy, Generative Trance, Hero’s Journey, and Systemic Change work.

The author of more than 24 professional books, Dr. Rossi co-authored three classic volumes on therapeutic hypnotism with him.
