NYU Langone Health has a trauma and intensive care surgeon. He received his undergraduate degree in biology and fine art from Georgetown University and his doctorate from Touro University California. He trained in underserved urban communities in New York City and Newark, New Jersey. At the safety-net hospital in the Bronx, Dr. Baltazar was the Director of Surgical Critical Care.

The epicenter of the American Pandemic has been Dr. Baltazar’s neighborhood in New Rochelle. Dr. Baltazar wants to encourage understanding and positivity in the wake of tragedy by sharing his experience from the frontline.

Lawrence Northorn received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from NYITCOM in 2003 after receiving his undergraduate degree from Hofstra University in 1999. A fellow of the American College of osteopathic family physicians, Dr. Northorn completed his residency at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center. He is the owner of a family medicine practice. The Central Islip and Great River fire departments have a district physician. He is a police surgeon for the New York State fraternal order of police.

He works in the Department of Family Medicine at the NYIT College of osteopathic medicine. The president of the New York State Osteopathic Medical Society is Dr. Northorn.

Family practice is practiced by Hallie Zwibel, DO, MPH. He is the team physician for NYIT, the Director of its Center for Sports Medicine, and one of the institution’s experts in eSports medicine. In 2007, Dr. Zwibel earned his bachelor’s degree. He completed his residency in family practice at North Shore-LIJ Plainview Hospital after receiving his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. The Training in Policy Studies and Physician Leadership Institute fellowship was completed by Dr. Zwibel. Dr. Zwibel received a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Albany-SUNY.
