J.J. Mowder-Tinney is a doctor. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder and her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Miami. She earned a doctorate in physical therapy. She has over 20 years of experience in a variety of clinical settings with the majority of her experience with people with neuromuscular deficits. She is certified as a clinical specialist in neurological physical therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. She earned her Certified Exercise Expert in Aging Adults (CEEAA) from the Academy of Geriatric Physical Therapy and her Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist (CSRS) from the American Stroke Association. She is an Associate Professor in the physical therapy department at Nazareth College. She teaches a series that includes a pro-bono clinic. She has held nationwide seminars on the treatment of patients with neurological deficits. She received an award for excellence in neuroscience education.
