She is a Psy.D., RPT-S, TCTSY-F. I am a clinical psychologist, registered play therapist supervisor, and trauma-sensitive yoga facilitator. She is the incoming president of the New England Association for Play Therapy. The assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, adults and families whose lives have been impacted by complex trauma is one of her interests. Adult survivors of severe childhood abuse and neglect, first responders, and combat veterans are just some of the people Dr. Lefebre has worked with.
Dr. Lefebre is the clinical director at Healing the Child Within, a trauma center in northwestern Connecticut that integrates yoga, play, and therapy into the treatment of trauma. She is also an adjunct faculty member at several universities, teaching both at the undergraduate and graduate level, as well as providing clinical supervision and play consultation therapy throughout New England and online. A sought-after expert on the topics of play therapy and complex childhood trauma, Dr. Lefebre is also an experienced play therapist and professor.
