Description
Learning Objectives Define, describe, and diagnose COPD. There are different chronic COPD phenotypes. Understand treatment options for AECOPD. Understand end-of-life care for COPD.

Dr. Carrington graduated from the Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine with a dual degree in medicine and healthcare administration. He did his residency in Internal Medicine at the Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, which is located in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed his fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He was awarded House Officer of the Year and Research Fellow of the Year during his fellowship. The American Board of Internal Medicine has certifications in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care.
He was interested in the inflammatory pathways of lung injury and recovery. One of the top five presentations was given by him at the American College of Chest Physicians annual conference. He is an Intensivist and Pulmonologist at the MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
