Dr. Karen Powell did her residency training at the University of New Mexico. She is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is the Medical Director of the Psychiatry Residency Clinic and AssociateProgram Director of the Iowa Medical Education Collaborative Psychiatry Residency Program.
Dr. Powell facilitates Iowa’s second ECHO hub, which is a virtual learning community, which is a place for people with mental health issues to get help. Dr. Powell lives in Des Moines with her husband and daughter.
