He is a faculty member and director of surgery at Northeast Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Lloyd Cleaver was born in Missouri. He served with the Navy and Navy Reserves after completing his training at the San Diego Navy Regional Medical Center. Dr. Cleaver is a doctor.
In 1985 Kathy returned to Kirksville and founded the Cleaver Dermatology Clinic. David, Jonathan, and Nathan are all sons of Dr. Cleaver. He was the Program Director of the program until 2015. He founded a surgery fellowship in 2015.
Dr. Cleaver is the assistant vice president of continuing education at A.T. Still University. He is the Secretary/Treasurer of the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology. He served as President of the Kirksville Osteopathic Alumni Association.
