There is a person named Leigh Odom, who has a degree in psychology. At Western Carolina University, he is an associate professor of speech-language pathology. She has been working as a speech-language pathologist for over 15 years with families affected by communication disorders. She is the lead academic and clinical instructor of neurogenic content in her department. As a dementia care trainer and support group facilitator, Dr. Odom often works with families and healthcare providers to improve dementia care. She has led trainings at state and national professional conferences and has published nearly 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals. The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the Academy of Neuroscience Communication Disorders and Sciences, and the North Carolina Speech-Hearing-Language Association are some of the organizations Dr. Odom is a member of.
