Margaret L. Bloom is a doctor. Professor Emerita is a licensed psychologist and a certified counselor. She is known for her knowledge and expertise in assessment, DSM diagnosis and counselor education. She is past chair and member of the board of directors of the Center for Credentialing and Education, an elected fellow of the American Psychological Association, and past-president of the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision. She began her career as a nurse and went on to earn graduate degrees in nursing and counseling. She has presented professional education seminars around the world on assessment, diagnosis and counselor education. She had a private therapy practice for many years.
