OMM Procedures for Inflammatory Diseases

Session objectives

1. Inflammation is a topic that can be explored in significant systemic disease.
2. There are osteopathic principles and practices in settings of systemic disease.
3. In various settings of illness and healthcare delivery, establish realistic applications of manipulative therapies.

A maximum of.75 AOA Category 1-A credits will be given to the program by the North Carolina Osteopathic Medical Association, which is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association.

Dr. Charles J. Smutny III is an assistant professor at the Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Osteopathy. He completed a 5-year undergraduate fellowship in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine after graduating from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. He holds a degree in Osteopathy from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA 2001. The Board of Trustees of the NC Osteopathic Medical Association is chaired by Dr. Smutny.
