Michael Reiman is a doctor of physical therapy. There is a manual therapy elective at Duke University. He received his PhD in Physical Therapy from MGH Institute of Health Professions. He has certifications as an Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Specialist, as well as being a Manual Therapy Fellow through the American Academy of Orthopaedic and Manual Physical Therapists.
The only textbook on functional testing, Functional Testing in Human Performance, was co-written by Dr. Reiman and is one of the books he has written. He is a reviewer for multiple sports journals. He continues to practice on injuries related to sports. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the USA Weightlifting Association, and the USA Track and Field Association.
