I’ve devoted my career to helping chiropractors succeed. I practiced for over 16 years and as many had ups and downs. My husband and I were audited by an insurance company. We practiced what we preach. Many doctors don’t want to bill for what they do. Doctors don’t know how to code and document properly so they don’t get paid as much. We billed upper level codes with proper systems and procedures. 99214-99 215, 9942, 99204, 99206, 99206, 99206, 99206, 99206, 99206, 99206, 99206, 99206, 99206, 99206, 99206, 99206, 99206, 99206, 99206 The insurance company looked at the last 4 years worth of patients during the audit. The documentation level for the codes was correct. We didn’t own any money back for those services. Evidenced based teaching was the right approach because of a proven system that withstood an audit.

I use an Evidenced based approach to teach. If I show you are able to do what you do, and you document accordingly, you should get paid for it. I don’t believe in fear-based approaches. Proper documentation and coding is required for Chiropractor.

I got my Medical Compliance Specialist-Physician Certification. It took 1 week of intense learning and understanding of the Medical profession as a whole, from the legal aspect to the treating sides. We have to keep up with our hours to keep our certification. I use my knowledge of contracts and audit procedures to streamline doctor’s practices into manageable profitable offices. All aspects of compliance and documentation are looked at by me. Compliance, documentation and coding are not what you like to do, so I want to make sure all doctors are well equipped with the tools they need to be successful. I will help make it easy to implement.

There are several training programs for staff and the whole office. I work with both Chiropractor and integrated practices.

I was asked to chair the insurance committee in 2015. It was an honor to help the profession. I will fight for the inclusion of Chiropractor in insurance companies. I will help fight for the expansion of scope.
