Dr. Jones works at the Harry S Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He is a professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Missouri. He was a physical therapist before medical school. He did his internship at Pacific Hospital after attending medical school at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. In Tucson, Arizona, Dr. Jones completed an Osteopathic Residency. He practiced in Centralia, Illinois, for five years. He joined the faculty of the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at the AT Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Missouri. Dr. Jones was an Associate Professor at KCOM. He has been at the VA Hospital in Columbia, Missouri for the last 16 years.

Dr. Jones is board certified by the American Board of Family Physicians, the American Board of Specialty Practicing in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, and the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He was a member of the Pain Medicine Examination Development Committee and served on the Panel of Experts. The American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation has a board member named Dr. Jones. He is the chair of the writing committee.
