Presentation Title : Engineering the 2-Hour Marathon: the physiology & physics of perfection

Session objectives
1. To understand how long a marathon takes.
2. Understanding the mathematics, mechanics and physics of running can affect these factors.
3. We learned how to apply the lessons we learned to athletes.

The American Osteopathic Association accredited the Maine Osteopathic Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Maine Osteopathic Association designates this program for a maximum of 1.0 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits according to the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.
