Join Karen Snider, DO, an OMM specialist and faculty member at ATSU-KCOM, and Taisei Suzuki, DO, as they discuss approaching neck pain with an osteopathic approach. The program includes a high-quality video of techniques physicians can directly apply in the treatment of patients.

Objectives for learning.

  1. Tell us about the different types of neck pain.
  2. Explain the causes and risk factors of neck pain.
  3. Discuss the findings of the physical examination for neck pain.
  4. Discuss the treatment goals of various types of techniques and the management of neck pain with your doctor.
  5. There are measures to prevent the occurrence of neck pain.

This program for a maximum of 1.0 is provided by the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, which is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association. AOA Category 1-A credits will be reported based on the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.

There is a Grievance Policy. The nature of the grievances should be specified in writing. All grievances should be directed to the Executive Director, who will forward them to the Education & Convention Committee. Within 30 days of receipt, all grievances will be responded to. If the participant doesn’t receive a satisfactory response, they can submit a complaint in writing to the Bureau of Osteopathic Education of the AOA.

Taisei Suzuki, DO, MIPH studied Biology at the University of Portland in Oregon and went on to receive his Master’s Degree in International Public Health at the University of Sydney in Australia. He worked as a humanitarian aid worker for nearly eight years with non-governmental organizations and the United Nations, stationed in various developing countries. He graduated from the A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2015. He trained at Federally Qualified Health Centers in both Washington, D.C. and Tucson, A.Z., after completing his family medicine residency program at The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.

Suzuki is a core faculty member for The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education’s National Family Medicine Residency Program in Washington, D.C. The resident OMT clinic is precepts by him. He provides medical care to his patients at both the DC Department of Correction and the Parkside Health Center.

Karen is a professor at A.T. Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Snider is a board certified doctor. She completed her residency at Northeast Regional Medical Center after earning her doctor of osteopathic medicine from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. The American Academy of Osteopathy and the National Academy of Osteopathic Medical Educators gave Dr. Snider fellowship awards.
