Teresa L. Deshields is a physician. He is a clinical associate professor in the departments of medicine and psychiatry at the Washington University School of Medicine. She is a past-president of the American Psychosocial Oncology Society.
She was the manager of the Siteman Counseling Service for 20 years. She devotes her clinical practice to treating cancer patients and survivors and their family members throughout the cancer continuum. Issues related to psychological adjustment and quality of life in cancer patients and survivors are the focus of her research.
