Eugene T. Gendlin is a doctor. He developed ways of thinking about and working with living process, the bodily felt sense and the ‘philosophy of the implicit’. Gendlin received his PhD in philosophy from the University of Chicago in 1958.
His work deals with the relationship between logic and explication. In relation to philosophy,licit intricacy functions in certain ways. The Philosophy of the Implicit has applications in many fields.
Some of his books and articles can be found on this website. Language Beyond Post-Modernism: saying and thinking in Gendlin’s philosophy and Experiencing and the Creation of Meaning are both from the same publisher.
