The other favorable reviews have not yet been said. The title says it all about this guy. Not just a series of lead licks, but a lot of chordal stuff mixed in, as well as a big dose of the inner game of blues guitar. His message is given a more sophisticated and nuanced sound by using some great jazz chords. It was presented in a frantic way as opposed to the lesson 1 approach. It was like the producer just sat him down and said just tell us a little about what you do. Compared to most of the instructional DVD’s out there, this approach was refreshing. This video has a slow motion mode that allows you to better see what he is doing, which he doesn’t always explain in detail. I have been able to see most of what is on the video with the included tab and chart. Not for beginners. You have to bring something to the dance. Early in the video, don’t let the Lightnin’Hopkins style scare you off. There are plenty of contemporary electric blues to follow. This is a very dense DVD because there are not always detailed explanations offered. You will have to dig for it to keep moving forward. Highly recommended.
