The course is called A Course in Miracles. I have a few ideas to consider. I don’t attempt to alter or miscreate the course in any way, but I will offer a spin on it. The course is not revolutionary as it borrows most of its ideas from Hindu and Zoroastrian thought systems. The cause of the separation does not make sense to me as presented by the course. Americans are fond of the idea of a silver bullet solution. The problem for me is whether to accept or reject reality. The million dollar question is faced by philosophers. There is a big problem with the idea of rejecting it. Accepting life and living it knowing that it is a dream is the answer to my question. Unless the circumstances are too hard, I don’t have a problem with rebirth and live a life of a child or 20-year old. Who knows when that will happen? You have to gradually accept and realize that taking the dream seriously is not a good idea. Many people end up cracking up because they fight the ego too hard. I have learned the cause of the separation differently in yoga and it makes sense to me. I have learned that the first cause was a desire of expression that made the Universe as it is. There are other issues as well as the separation problem. Even though it isn’t created but comes from the same place. The emanation is due to the fact that a perfect god cannot create the imperfect Universe. Issues of importance, such as injustice, corruption and political issues, are not addressed in the course. Do we bother to vote? I am afraid that a lot of people might misunderstand the course and apply it in a single minded way. I believe in forgiveness as the key, but there are other aspects as well. I don’t believe in the idea that western esoterism is fond of. The birth of a cottage industry was halted by these seeming inconsistencies, as well as the teaching of the course and thereinterpretation of some of the ideas presented in the over 1000 page material. Gary Renard is a teacher and author. He does not go far enough. Gary had an interaction with two ascended masters who reworked the main ideas of the course.
