Michael J. Mard was a member of the Valuation Resource Group of the FASB. Intellectual property and intangible asset matters have been the subject of testimony by Mard. He is the author of seven books, as well as numerous articles and presentations.

James R. Hitchner is the Editor of Financial Valuation: Applications and Models, Second Edition and the coauthor of Financial Valuation Workbook, Second Edition. He has made over seventy conference presentations. Hitchner and Mard were ad hoc advisers to the FASB.

Steven D. Hyden is a co-author of Financial Valuation: Applications and Models, Second Edition. He has expertise in family limited partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, and intangible assets. He is an instructor.
