About the author.

Dr. Begg received his masters degree. He received his degrees in electrical and electronic engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. He is researching in machine learning.

He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Madras, his master’s degree from the Indian Institute of science, India, and his PhD from the University of Melbourne. He has been at the University of Melbourne for 16 years. More than 180 papers have been published by him. The Ministry of Education, Japan gave him a Foreign Specialist Award for his contributions to the field of Machine Learning. He was an associate editor for Journals and transactions. His research interests include machine learning, pattern recognition, signal processing and control. He is the convener of the Australian Research Network.
