Expertly crafted book layout templates in InDesign & Word

I will start by saying that. Hate. The book is formatted. It is boring and a pain in the ass. You have to go through your entire book to apply styles and updates. There are always changes to be made and last minute changes to be fixed.

I like beautiful books as well. Readers do too.

Readers will flip through your book when they find a copy. If the formatting is bad, they will put it back down. If it looks like shoddy work, they probably won’t give the story a chance.

I learned how to make books. I know how to use Word and InDesign. I studied many examples. I am an expert in book code. I became pretty good at it.

I still don’t like it. It seems like Formatting is one of those things you can do yourself. Yes, you. Can. Do it. The first time you do it, you will be pulling your hair out and screaming in anger, and your book will look bad. You have to do it right.

It has to look. It’s great.
