Alissa Drescher, LPC, GC-C, CT, MA Related seminars and products: 2
The GC-C is located in Connecticut, MA. She addresses topics related to grief and mourning and is known for her creative, interactive, and story-telling presentation style. In 2006 she began working in the field of bereavement services. A passion for supporting people through the grief process led to counseling both grieving children and adults in individual and group settings.
She was the senior program director at the Tristesse Grief Center and oversaw a variety of programming, including the first overnight camp for grieving children and teens. Death, Grief and Loss was one of the undergraduate counseling courses that Alissa taught. The mission of the Grief Center of Middle Tennessee is to help children, teens, and adults cope with loss and change.
She holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy with a focus on Play Therapy. She is a member of the National Alliance for Grieving Children and the Association of Death Education and Counseling.
